Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Ciao! My name is Ivan Garcia and I love learning about other cultures and languages. In high school I took French and then in college I took Japanese! Teaching ESL has allowed me to meet people from many cultures and I have taught both young students and also adult students too. I have been teaching for 7 years all throughout the State of New Jersey and throughout some of the 5 boroughs of New York City! In college I majored in English Literature and Secondary Education.
I love reading and writing. My love for reading started with comic books and I would be very happy to share with you some of my Batman, Deadpool, or Star Wars graphic novels but in exchange you have to write up a nice old fashioned book report and review! I am happily married and have a five year old son named Ethan. He is my little side-kick! I will share even more of my background with you when we meet this week in our google classrooms. I cannot wait to learn more about all of you as well!
