My name is Maria Crespo, I worked in marketing for many years prior to changing careers to become an ESL teacher here at Polk Street school. I am looking forward to teaching and learning from my students and getting to know each one of them.
As an ESL student myself many years ago when I moved to the U.S. I understand the importance of encouraging my students, and supporting them as they learn a new language and adjust to a new culture.
